My seventh book, Linux+ Study Guide, is a textbook designed to help candidates pass the Linux+ exam by CompTIA. This exam is an entry-level Linux certification, so the book is an entry-level text on Linux use and administration. In addition to helping you pass the Linux+ exam, the book should prove to be a useful reference for many general Linux tasks. I also maintain a separate Web page on this book. The first edition was released in 2001, and a second edition with improved hardware coverage and other additions was released in early 2004. Approximate page count: 728 (1st edition); 597 (2nd edition). Note that, although the second edition's page count is lower, it actually contains more information; Sybex simply used a smaller font to reduce the page count.
