Miro offers a number of multimedia products. The miroCONNECT 34 wave, described below, has apparently recently been replaced, but I have no details on the replacement except that its CD-ROM interface is an option rather than standard equipment. Miro also offers at least one non-Mwave sound board, but I have no information on it.

miroCONNECT 34 wave

Type:
Wavetable
Chipset:
IBM Mwave 2780
CD-ROM:
Proprietary (Mitsumi, Sony), IDE
Street price:
Discontinued; previously ~$300
OS/2 Drivers:
Available, but miro is backing away from OS/2 support
Drivers from:
miro CD
Comments:
At the time I bought mine, this board came with OS/2 drivers on its driver CD; and I've heard that the replacement for this board is shipping with OS/2 drivers, at least in Europe. Miro, however, says they are no longer supporting OS/2 on these boards. Some versions of the Windows voicemail software that come with the board don't work under OS/2, but some (namely, that on the version 1.45 CD) seems better. I've had problems with Warp 4.0's VTD enrollment hanging on this board, but other Mwave users report no problems with this.
