Mediatrix will not be producing new OS/2 drivers for the Audiotrix Pro, but they do plan on introducing four new products in early 1997, and claim that OS/2 drivers will be available for them "right from the start." As with all such claims, however, I wouldn't make plans to buy one until it's actually available with full OS/2 support.

Comments:
This board is well-respected for its sound quality, but the current drivers are it; Mediatrix says they won't be developing new drivers for this board under OS/2, though they are planning to release a README on getting it working under Warp 4.0. The current OS/2 drivers are reputed to support .WAV file playback, but not MIDI. They reportedly do work with VTD. The IBM MPU-401 drivers reportedly do work, but require initializing the board in DOS first and warm booting to OS/2. I don't know if any Crystal Semiconductor drivers would work with this board. Vince Worthington has written a FAQ on using this board under OS/2. I believe this board has been discontinued, but I'm not positive of that.

Comments:
I know very little about this board -- only what I've read in a Mediatrix spec sheet, which claimed there are OS/2 drivers available. I've yet to hear from anybody who's actually used the board, though.
